Hey there!
I'm Carolina.,
Originally from Colombia, my life's taken me far from the familiar Caribbean coast to the east coast of Australia. Growing up by the beach with my adopted Aussie parents, I was very conscious that I was different from my classmates. I was always having to explain why I was a different colour to my parents, and then cringe through questions about where my real parents were.. Feeling self-conscious, I was desperate to move away as soon as I had the chance.
I've always been a free spirit, despite the various invisible glass ceilings that seem to pop up from time to time. I knew from an early age that I wanted more adventure than my sleepy town could offer. I knew I wanted to change people's lives for the better and contribute to humanity. I knew I wanted to work with people who were hungry and driven to do something extraordinary with their lives.. and at 18, I found my happy place, here, on the Northern Beaches.
Starting my career off in sales and marketing, I was always working on different events and promotions- adding my sparkle everywhere I went. It wasn't until 2008 that I fell into working in the Start-Up world with entrepreneurs seeking investment.
Meeting some incredibly talented minds and creatives for the first time, I felt gravity suck me into their whole world. Seeing them in their businesses awoke the part of me that had dreamt of having my own business. I was transported back to having a lemonade stand outside our house, making clothes for my Barbies, and my dreams of becoming a fashion designer. In that moment I realised - these were my people! They were the creatives, thought leaders, adventurers, and free-spirited warriors doing life their way, facing their fears to reach their goals- and just like that, finally, I knew I was in the right place.
As a devoted student of life, I started working through my very own hero's journey. Allowing myself to go through the process regardless of the discomfort was exactly what I needed to become really clear on who I was, what was important to me and why. I learned so many things about myself, and the driving forces at play, that every time I face a challenge I go through the process again.
Working in this way has allowed me to continue to steer my life on a course that is in alignment with my goals without compromising what is important to me. Through this process, I have helped countless businesses to redefine who they are and rewrite the next chapter of their success.
Doing what I love, with entrepreneurs who want to leave their mark on the world is truly a gift, and I am grateful for every day. I look forward to many more adventures and success stories to share in the years to come.
