Are You “Woo Woo”? The World Is Changing — And So Am I

Not long ago, someone asked me, “Are you woo woo?”It was meant half-curiously, half-cautiously — as though “woo woo” was a box I might reluctantly climb into, one lined with incense sticks and crystal balls. What they were really asking was: Are you into spirituality? Do you believe in the cause and effect of energy?

The truth? I have a secret I’ve never normally dared to say out loud.I am very woo woo.I meditate every single day. I talk to plants and animals. I am a Reiki master.

And yet, this is not a confession of shame — it’s a declaration of truth. Because in 2025, the world is shifting. We are becoming more awake, more conscious, more connected to how energy — in all its forms — shapes our lives.

The Great Shift: Conscious Living Is No Longer Niche

Everywhere you look, people are caring more about their health and wellbeing, not just as individuals, but as citizens of a shared planet. We’ve started to acknowledge the invisible but undeniable effects of negative energy — whether that comes from a toxic workplace, a draining relationship, or a situation that simply doesn’t align with who we want to be.

The signs are everywhere:

  • Consumers are becoming more careful, considered, and conscious.

  • Families are rethinking how they communicate and connect.

  • Even in the “game of life,” more of us are playing with empathy and awareness as our guiding rules.

It wasn’t always this way. Not so long ago, no one thought twice about smoking indoors, pumping out toxic fumes without a thought for the lungs they were entering. We drove cars without considering their environmental impact. We bought without questioning the origins of what we consumed.

Today, that’s changing — fast.

The Thing We Don’t Talk About

Still, there’s one conversation many avoid: energy. We’ve all felt it. The way the air shifts when someone angry or bitter enters a room, tension tightening shoulders and silencing voices. And the equally dramatic relief when they leave — as though someone has cracked open a window.

We know this is real. We’ve lived it. And yet, we don’t talk about it — for fear of ridicule, or of being labelled… well, “woo woo.”

Where Corporate Meets Spiritual

That’s been my journey: finding the intersection between corporate ambition and spiritual truth. For years, I kept them separate, as though one might cancel out the other. But then I realised the meeting point wasn’t “out there” — it was inside me.

When I embraced it, something extraordinary happened. I opened the door for others like me — people who believe in the energetic exchange of healing. People who see value in breathwork, meditation, yoga, storytelling, and self-discovery.

Because energy is currency. It shapes our relationships, fuels our work, and builds the communities we dream of belonging to.

Stories That Stir: Energy in Action

That’s why I’m so passionate about my work with Stories That Stir, where I lead sponsorships for an event series that connects people through the raw power of storytelling. These aren’t just tales — they are energetic exchanges that inspire, challenge, and transform.

Every story told is a ripple in the energy field of the audience. A moment of connection that says: I see you. I hear you. You matter.

In a world that’s waking up to the power of conscious living, Stories That Stir is more than an event — it’s a movement. And it’s proof that when we combine authenticity, vulnerability, and purpose, the energy we create can change everything.

So, am I woo woo? Yes. And I’m proud of it. Because if caring about the energy we bring into a room, a conversation, or the world is woo woo… then maybe woo woo is exactly what the world needs right now.
